Norsam Technologies Inc. Supplier Code of Conduct

Responsible Sourcing and Ethical Labor Practices

Norsam Technologies Inc. is committed to conducting business with the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and social responsibility. We expect all our suppliers, vendors, and business partners to adhere to the same principles of responsible sourcing and human rights protection.

This Supplier Code of Conduct applies to all suppliers providing goods or services to Norsam Technologies Inc. By doing business with us, you agree to comply with the requirements outlined below.

1. Responsible Minerals Sourcing (3TG)

We require our suppliers to:

  • Source tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold (3TG) in accordance with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas.
  • Have a formal responsible minerals sourcing policy.
  • Conduct due diligence on their supply chains and provide completed Conflict Minerals Reporting Templates (CMRT) upon request.
  • Source 3TG only from smelters and refiners that have been validated by an independent third-party audit program (e.g., RMAP).

2. Human Rights and Labor Practices

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of exploitation. Suppliers must not engage in, and must ensure their own suppliers do not engage in, any of the following:

  • Any form of forced labor, human trafficking, or modern slavery
  • Child labor (including the worst forms of child labor)
  • Withholding worker identity or immigration documents
  • Using recruiters that do not comply with local labor laws
  • Discrimination in hiring, employment, or termination based on race, colour, sex, religion, political opinion, national extraction, age, disability, nationality, sexual orientation, HIV/AIDS status, family responsibilities, or trade union membership or activities
  • Charging workers or potential workers any recruitment fees
  • Procuring commercial sex acts during the length of any contract

Suppliers must also ensure the following for all workers, including migrant workers:

  • Provision or payment of return transportation for foreign migrant workers at the end of their period of work (unless exceptions apply under local law)
  • Housing provided or arranged meets host-country housing and safety standards
  • Workers can cancel their work contracts at any time without financial penalty (subject to reasonable notice and local law)
  • Wages meet or exceed applicable host-country legal requirements or prevailing sector wages
  • Workers have the right to form and join trade unions, bargain collectively, and engage in peaceful assembly in accordance with local law
  • Workers receive detailed and accurate work agreements in a language they understand
  • Document checks (including proof of age) are performed to confirm workers are legally authorized to work

3. Compliance and Cooperation

  • Suppliers must flow these requirements down to their own sub-suppliers.
  • Norsam Technologies Inc. reserves the right to request documentation, conduct audits, or terminate the relationship if non-compliance is identified and not corrected.
  • Suppliers are encouraged to maintain their own written policies and procedures that meet or exceed these standards.

We believe ethical and responsible business practices create long-term value for everyone. Thank you for your commitment to these principles and for partnering with Norsam Technologies Inc.
