Norsam Technologies Inc. is committed to the highest standards of human rights and ethical labor practices throughout our operations. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward modern slavery, forced labor, human trafficking, child labor, and any other form of labor exploitation.

We strictly prohibit and do not engage in:

  • Any form of forced labor or human trafficking (also referred to as modern slavery)
  • The worst forms of child labor or any child labor
  • Withholding worker identity or immigration documents
  • Using recruiters that do not comply with local labor laws of the country in which the recruiting takes place
  • Discrimination before hiring, on the job, or upon leaving based on race, colour, sex, religion, political opinion, national extraction, age, disability, nationality, sexual orientation, HIV/AIDS status, family responsibilities, or trade union membership or activities
  • Charging workers or potential workers recruitment fees
  • Procuring commercial sex acts during the length of any contract

We ensure the following for all workers, including migrant workers:

  • Provision or payment of return transportation for foreign migrant workers at the end of their period of work
  • Housing provided or arranged meets host-country housing and safety standards
  • Workers can cancel their work contracts at any time without financial penalty, subject to reasonable notice in accordance with local law
  • Wages meet applicable host-country legal requirements or prevailing sector wages
  • Workers have the right to form and join trade unions of their own choosing, to bargain collectively, and to engage in peaceful assembly in accordance with local law
  • Workers are given detailed and accurate work agreements in a language they understand
  • Document checks (including proof of age) are conducted for all workers to confirm they are legally authorized to work

This policy applies to our entire organization, our employees, contractors, and business partners. We periodically review and update our practices to ensure continued compliance with global best practices and all applicable laws.
